The room was very clean and tidy. The location IS central, within walking distance to many attractions.
The check-in process was a little complicated, check-in occurred in the pub downstairs. A £50 cash deposit was required, and i was not aware of this beforehand

i found the location very convenient near the train station it was also quite easy to locate upon arrival. check-in was handled smoothly the staff member who showed me to my room was helpful and friendly. the room matched the photos i had seen online and it seemed clean and tidy.
i had to put down a cash deposit there were no exceptions to this rule and it was a bit disconcerting. also there were no tea or coffee facilities in the room that was a pity.

the room contained a comfortable bed and a tv though its placement was somewhat unusual it was still a nice addition. the shower was warm and clean even though the toilet seat had some movement it was well-kept.

the atmosphere in the pub downstairs seemed pleasant i heard someone singing familiar tunes and it was entertaining. the music ended at a reasonable time which allowed for undisturbed sleep throughout the night.

the hotel provided fast wifi which allowed seamless internet access for my work and leisure. i had no issue leaving the hotel and returning later offering convenience and flexibility.

The location was good (near to public transportation).
Checking in at a pub felt strange. The room lacked space, it felt cramped. The noise from nearby rooms and hallway doors slamming was disruptive.

i found the staff helpful on arrival. my room was super clean and airy. location is convenient to shopping areas. the bed was very comfortable to sleep in.
towels smelt bad, i asked for a hair dryer but they didnt help at evening. They did provided one, one hour before i left. this delay impacted my schedule.

The check-in was a MESS. i went to three different pubs before finding the right one, and nobody seemed to know what was going on. then they wanted a £50 cash deposit. I wasn't informed about this beforehand and had to run to an atm. the whole process felt disorganized and frustrating. It ate up way too much time.
